Everyone should enjoy their profession, and if you don’t, what are you going to do to change it? An easy question to ask but much harder to answer. Transitioning to a new career is one of the most difficult challenges for job seekers. After a decade in the staffing industry, I realized my passion was empowering job seekers by giving them the tools and guidance to identify their talents and find fulfilling careers.

I graduated from ICA with a certification in coaching and become a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. As a Career Coach, I worked with private clients and held a position as a Career Advisor at Hult International Business School in Boston. Over the years I developed and refined a job search strategy for my clients. A thorough assessment of their career focus was a critical first step in the process. I designed tools and methodologies for my clients in the areas of:
• Discovering a focus
• Resume/LinkedIn
• Creating a professional pitch
• Job search strategy
• Interview preparation & salary negotiations

As the market evolved my clients needed new strategies to be competitive in the job market, so I too evolved by continuing my education in the field. I received certifications for the following:
• Certified Career Services Provider, NCDA
• Certified DISC Assessment Administrator
• Certified Professional Resume Writer, PARW
• Certified Leadership Agility 360

Prior to joining HackerUSA, I was a Transition Coach at Randstad RiseSmart assisting recently downsized clients identify their next career opportunity. I had the opportunity to facilitate and present webinars on a variety of job search topics to large groups of up to 500 people. A new passion was born. I found that I loved developing content and group coaching.

Today I am at HackerUSA, an ed-tech company that partners with universities to provide certification programs in digital skills. I am the career services curriculum designer and developing asynchronous courses, so the students are career-ready once they graduate from the program.

In addition to my role at HackerUSA, I provide group coaching and launched a career coaching series for the town of Bedford, MA. I am so fortunate to be able to combine my two passions and look forward to getting up in the morning to start my day.
